Error:

Cannot open backup device. Operating system error 5(Access is denied.)
BACKUP DATABASE is terminating abnormally.

Causes:

SQL service might not have permission to the Path where back up is supposed to be created.

Workaround:

1. Connect to  DATABASE with [SA] credentials.
2. Assign SQL service permission to the backup path.
