Module <D:\RelyonSoft\TaxOffice\ACCDBLib.dll> failed to register. HRESULT -2147024770. Contact your support personnel.

Causes:

  • Other programs, including memory-resident and anti-virus programs, are running and using any version of the file.
  • Clean the content of system temp folder.
  • Antivirus software may be blocking the proper registration of dll.
  • The user performing the installation doesn’t have the required administrative privileges to perform the installation.

Solution 1:

Click on continue and Register the File Manually

  • To register specific files perform the following steps:
  • Click Start > Run.
  • Type RegSvr32 “D:\RelyonSoft\TaxOffice\ACCDBLib.dll”, and then click OK

Solution 2:

  1. Open command prompt as Administrator
  2. Regsvr32 /u “C:\Windows\System32\Msvbvm60.dll”
  3. Click Enter to Unregister.
  4. Regsvr32 “C:\Windows\System32\Msvbvm60.dll”
  5. Click Enter to register it again.

Solution 3:

If you receive a message that the file is not registered then this issue may be caused by anti-virus software that prevents the correct registration of files. Temporarily “disable” any anti-virus software to allow the proper registration of files.
