The following procedure describes how to manually configure DEP on the computer:
- Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then click OK.
- On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.
- On the Data Execution Prevention tab, use one of the following procedures:
- Click Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only.
- Click OK.
Workaround 3:[For Windows Vista or Windows 7 or Windows 8]

Open System by clicking the Start button, right-clicking Computer, and then clicking Properties.

Click Advanced system settings. If you’re prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Under Performance, click Settings.

Click the Data Execution Prevention tab, and then click Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only.

Click OK, click OK in the System Properties dialog box if it appears, and then click OK again. You might need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
