Workaround 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Uninstall the existing SQL Native Client by using the Add or Remove Programs before running the SQL Server 2005 Express installation.<\/p>\n

Workaround 2: [For Windows Vista or Windows 7 or Windows 8]<\/strong><\/p>\n

You must use “Turn Windows features on or off” in the Control Panel to install or configure Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 SP1″<\/p>\n

  1. Go to: start\/control panel\/programs and features<\/li>\n
  2. On the top left you should see “Turn windows features on or off” click on that<\/li>\n
  3. Find “Microsoft .NET framework 3.5.1” when the window opens<\/li>\n
  4. Click the + sign next to it to expand it so you can now see:
