To do so, follow these steps.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click Start, Click Run and type \u201cServices.msc\u201d (without quotes) and press Enter.<\/li>\n<li>Double-click Windows Installer.<\/li>\n<li>Set the Startup type of Windows Installer to Manual.<\/li>\n<li>Click Start to start the service. Note down the error message if any. Click OK.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><strong>Workaround<\/strong> 2:\u00a0<\/strong>Re-register the Windows Installer. Follow these steps for the same.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click Start, All Programs, Accessories and click Run. Type \u201cmsiexec \/unregister\u201d (without quotes) in the Open box, and then click OK.<\/li>\n<li>Click Start, All Programs, Accessories and click Run. Type \u201cmsiexec \/regserver\u201d (without quotes) in the Open box, and then click OK.
