Workaround 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Make sure that you are running the SQL Server setup as \u201cRun as Administrator\u201d.<\/p>\n

Workaround 2:<\/strong><\/p>\n

To add the rights to the local administrator account, follow\u00a0these steps:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Log on to the computer as a user who has administrative credentials.<\/li>\n
  2. Click Start<\/strong>, click Run<\/strong>, type gpedit.msc<\/em><\/strong>, and then click OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. Double-click Computer Configuration<\/strong>,\u00a0 clickWindows Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. In the\u00a0Securtiy Settings<\/strong>, click Local Policies<\/strong>, double-click User Rights Assignment<\/strong>, and then double-click Backup Files and Directories<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  5. In the\u00a0Backup Files and Directories Properties<\/strong> dialog box, click Add User or Group<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  6. In the Select User or Groups<\/strong> dialog box, type the user account that is being used for setup, and then click OK<\/strong> two times.<\/li>\n
  7. Repeat the procedure for the other two policies that are mentioned in the “Cause” section.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Workaround 3:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Click Start | Run | type regedit | Click OK.<\/p>\n

    Open “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\System\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\WMI”<\/p>\n
