No work was done.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Snapshot:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/techsupport.relyonsoft.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/multiple-step.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2240\" src=\"http:\/\/techsupport.relyonsoft.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/multiple-step.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"507\" height=\"335\" srcset=\"https:\/\/relyonsoft.in\/techsupport\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/multiple-step.jpg 507w, https:\/\/relyonsoft.in\/techsupport\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/multiple-step-300x198.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 507px) 100vw, 507px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cause:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Compatibility Mode is set to enable in the Properties area of the Point icon.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0computer that generates the error must be updated\u00a0to MDAC to version 2.8.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Workaround 1:\u00a0<strong>De-select Compatibility Mode in the Point icon Properties<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Right-click on the\u00a0<strong><em>Application Shortcut<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0file and then select\u00a0<strong><em>Properties<\/em><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>From the application Properties window,\u00a0select the\u00a0<em><strong>Compatibility<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0tab.<\/li>\n<li>In the Compatibility mode section, uncheck the\u00a0<em><strong>Run this program in compatibility mode for <\/strong><\/em>box.<\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0<em><strong>OK.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Try<em><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>opening application again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>WORKAROUND 2:\u00a0 Re-Install the MDAC<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Navigate to C:\\Windows\\Inf folder.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Search for mdac.inf file.<\/li>\n<li>Right click mdac.inf and Click Install.<\/li>\n<li>When installation wizard prompts for each of the following files, try to browse and locate them in the directories specified.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>adcjavas.inc \u2013 C:\\Windows\\servicepackfiles\\i386<\/li>\n<li>handler.reg \u2013 C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\System\\msadc<\/li>\n<li>MDACRdMe.htm \u2013 C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\System\\Ado<\/li>\n<li>oledbjvs.inc \u2013 C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\System\\Ole DB<\/li>\n<li>mssoap1.dll \u2013 C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\MSSoap\\Binaries<\/li>\n<li>mssoapr.dll \u2013 C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\MSSoap\\Binaries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If the required files are not there, you are required to copy OLE DB, msadc, Ole DB and Binaries folders from another computer and place them in the C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\System32 folder.<\/li>\n<li>Otherwise\u00a0insert Operating system CD\u00a0later click on OK, later installation succeeds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Error: Multiple-step OLE DB operation generated errors.
