Causes<\/strong><\/h4>\n

  1. Windows update service may be disabled or not running.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Workaround<\/strong> 1<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    Go to services.msc\u00a0 check whether windows update service, if it is disabled, enable the service and restart it.<\/p>\n

    Workaround 2<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    1.) Open COMMAND PROMPT<\/strong>\u00a0and choose\u00a0run as administrator<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(in case of windows VISTA and above ) A command prompt window will open).<\/p>\n

    2.) Type in command “net stop WuAuServ<\/strong>” (stops windows update service)<\/p>\n

    3.) Head over to Run ( Win+R ) and type in “%windir%<\/strong>” (this command line enable you to head over to your Microsoft windows system folder)<\/p>\n

    4.) Find the folder “Software Distribution” and rename.<\/p>\n

    5.) Then, go back command prompt and run the command line”net start WuAuServ<\/strong>” (starts the windows update service)<\/p>\n

    6.) At this point, try to install. NET Framework again.<\/p>\n
