Finish any installations in progress, or restart your computer, and then rerun setup.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Error Message:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/techsupport.relyonsoft.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/WindowsInstErr.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-785\" title=\"WindowsInstErr\" src=\"http:\/\/techsupport.relyonsoft.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/WindowsInstErr.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"114\" srcset=\"https:\/\/relyonsoft.in\/techsupport\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/WindowsInstErr.jpg 560w, https:\/\/relyonsoft.in\/techsupport\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/WindowsInstErr-300x61.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Causes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Windows Installer Service that is included with OS is unregistered or damaged.<\/li>\n<li>The issue occurs when the system account does not have full permissions on a folder or registry key that the Windows Installer is trying to access.<\/li>\n<li>The Windows Installer files that are on your hard disk are damaged or are missing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Solution 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click <strong>Start<\/strong>, and then click <strong>Run<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Open Command prompt as administrator.<\/li>\n<li>type msiexec.exe \/unregister<\/li>\n<li>Click Enter to Unregister.<\/li>\n<li>Type msiexec \/regserver<\/li>\n<li>Click Enter to Register.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Solution 2:\u00a0<\/strong>Give Full Control permission to the SYSTEM account<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open [C:\\Windows] right click System32 folder &gt; Properties &gt; Security &gt;<\/li>\n<li>Select &#8220;SYSTEM&#8221; &amp; give Full control permission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Solution 3:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Configure the status of windows installer service to Stopped &amp; startup type to Disabled. Restart the system &amp; change startup type to Manual and try installing again.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Solution 4:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Navigate to C:\\Windows\\System32 folder<\/li>\n<li>Rename the folowing file names- msi.dll,msiexec.exe and msihnd.dll.<\/li>\n<li>Restart the computer and install windows installer 3.1 or latest version<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Error: The windows installer service is unavailable.
